Chevrolet to expand in Gensan

CHEVROLET, one of the leading car brands in the country, is set to open another store in General Santos City, its second in Mindanao, in the third quarter this year.

The second branch will be under Chevrolet Davao, which opened in 2003 as the first provincial dealer in the Philippines.

Antonio Ang, vice president for operations of Chevrolet Davao, said the expansion is a way of bringing the car brand closer to its markets in Mindanao.

He added there have been huge developments going on around Soccsksargen region, which open an opportunity for expansion.

The same services will also be offered in Gensan store.

"In Davao City, we're ranked 4th already, moving up several places higher as compared to the previous years," he said. Also, Chevrolet posted the highest growth among the car dealers in the Philippines.

He attributed the growth to the improved unit line-up and car parts that they sell and the services they supply. Also, Chevrolet Davao is averaging around 40 units sold in a month.

Chevrolet Davao is eyeing for a 20 percent growth this year.

Ang boasts of their after-sales support that sees to it clients concerns are addressed in the fastest time possible, as they want to give the customers their money's worth.

"Cars are slowly becoming a commodity, everyone has one, they all look the same. so it's the relation that you build with the customer that's critical. Most of our sales come from recommendations, someone that we sold a car to recommend it to his friend, and then recommend it to their friend, a good indication we're serving our clients well," he said.
They also hope to deliver the best of services, from preventive maintenance, insurance processing, to car repair.

"We take pride in the relationships we have built along the way and we continue to grow them as we push forward. Our after sales support has been constantly improving as well, with changes in manpower and investments in state of the art equipment, we have elevated the quality of services we can provide our clients," he added.

The store comes complete with a product line-up, from entry level to high-end cars.

Among the the entry level are Spark, Sonic, and Spin that cost from P578,888 to P890,888. These units score high in fuel efficiency, good for young professionals and start-up families.

High-end models are Trailblazers, Traverse, Colorado, Camaro, Tahoe, and Suburban with prices ranging from P1.23 million to P4.18 million. Customers can expect a strong engine for these models.

Chevrolet cars are rated high by the automotive industry in the Philippines and the clients themselves.

"Good thing about Chevrolet it fits almost any need. We do need-based selling. They (customers) should take a look at the people involved, the people running the show. The customer service, will they take care of you in the long run?" he added.
