OFF Price Show in Davao City, the only one outside Metro Manila, offered authentic merchandise at a more affordable price.
From September 1 to September 3, the Off Price Show displayed different American-branded items at the Davao Convention Center, Torres Street.
“The Off Price Show is the country’s largest outlet sale event. We offer a wide variety of clothing, footwear, personal care, and home and lifestyle. It’s at most 80 percent off,” said marketing manager Diana Bernandez.
The show is already on its 5th year in Davao City, the only one outside Metro Manila. According to Bernadez they have seen the market established here in the city that’s why they stayed and continued with the roadshow here even after they had stopped their shows in other cities in the country.
“For the past five years, the show started to get known because we are selling different brands that are already well-known. Every time we go to Davao, the head count increases mainly because of the word of mouth,” she said.
There are almost 100 brands featured including Izod, Ralph Lauren, Gap, Chaps, Cartel, Lore, Uropa, Forever 21, H&M, Adidas, Trim, Puma, and Melissa among others.
“Our items are cheaper than the regular prices of Forever 21. You can buy Forever 21 items for only P250. You can buy a dress for P250, though the designs are limited compared to the Forever 21 stores in malls because of the limited space also,” Bernadez said, adding what keeps their customers loyal to them is the more affordable price.
Shopping in the Off Price Show allows the shoppers to have a lifetime membership card which earns them a certain milestone. If the shopper gains a total of P25,000 worth of purchases, they are entitled of a 2 percent rebate. The amount of rebate increases as the total of purchases increases as well. The card is applicable for use in any Off Price Show nationwide.
Bernadez said in their five years in Davao City, they have recorded a total of 15,000 headcount in their database.
The Off Price Show originated in North America and was first done in Asia in 2012. In the Philippines, it was first done at the World Trade Center by the same year. In Metro Manila, they also conduct the show in Alabang.
