Price of seafood in public markets stable

PRICE of selected seafood remained stable as of this week while the prices of vegetables increased based on the monitoring conducted by SunStar Davao on Tuesday, September 19, at the public markets in Bankerohan and Agdao.

Tuna panga was pegged at P180 to P250 per kilogram (kg); tuna belly at P200/kg to P300/kg; tuna fillet at P200/kg to P290/kg; lapu-lapu at P450/kg to P480/kg; seaweed at P60 to P80; large shrimps are at P240/kg to P260/kg; small shrimps were at P200/kg; maya-maya at P200/kg; and small squids are at P140/kg to P260/kg.

Imbao was at P80/kg in Agdao Public Market while it was pegged at P170/kg to P180/kg in Bankerohan Public Market.

A price increase was also noted for bangus, tilapia, and large squids. Bangus is now pegged at P140/kg to P150/kg from last week's P120/kg to P130/kg; large squids are now at P330/kg from P300/kg; and tilapia is now at P130 from P100/kg.
