PRICES of selected vegetables at Bankerohan Market have increased based on the price monitoring conducted by SunStar Davao, Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
According to the vendors, the prices have increased for a month now due to the rainy season. Vendors noted an increase for the prices of carrots and cabbage.
Carrots are now at P70/kilogram (kg) to 80/kg from last week's P35/kg while the price of cabbage is now at P50/kg from P35/kg.
The price of ampalaya, however, decreased to P55/kg from P60/kg.
Meanwhile, the price of other vegetables remained stable. String beans are at P40/kg; potatoes at P90/kg; eggplant at P25/kg; radish at P20/kg; cucumber is at P20/kg; kangkong is at P7 per bundle; squash at P40/kg; onion is at P70/kg; ginger at P35/kg; tomato at P30/kg; and bell pepper at P120/kg.
Pechay is at P30/kg to P35/kg depending on its size while sayote is sold at P5 to P6 per piece. (Eliza Patrice Huilar and Alexandrea Ignacio, ADDU Interns)
