Aside from the special first year fixed rate, the bank also offers other low rates fixed to up to 20 years.
At China Bank's main branch in Makati, there was a photo memorabilia from August 1 to 31, said China Bank marketing services head Mary Ann Ducanes during Wednesday's Club 888 media forum.
The bank also staged a family weekend celebration at McKinley Hill, The Fort in Taguig City.
Dubbed "China Bank Fun Fest," the event features a number of exciting activities for China Bank employees and their families, as well as China Bank clients.
The event was highlighted with a series of races ranging from 900 meters, 3 kilometers (K), 5K, and 9K that started at 5 a.m. of August 15.
"Our 90th anniversary Fun Fest was an engaging. We ran to stay fit. We had fun and got to know each other. We ran for a cause and best of all we had fun celebrating our 90 years of partnership and success," Ducanes said.
The Fun Fest was supported by Century Pacific Group, the makers of Century Tuna and by Manulife-China Bank Life Assurance Corporation.
Minor sponsors include Limkaco Industries, Great Times, San Miguel Corporation, Krispy Kreme, SM Supermarket, Golden Oats, PLDT, Toby's Sports, Fit n' Right, Exemed Pharma, and Red Bull.
Ducanes said other activities held were awarding financial gifts to service personnel (janitors, messengers, and guard); a recognition program for its loyal employees.
Customers who celebrated their birthdays last August 16 and visited their branch of account that day got special gifts from China Bank.
A pick-a-prize promo was also held, so customers who transacted that day had the chance to win a 90th Anniversary Treat. Ninety winners per China Bank branch were given rewards.
To conclude China Bank's 90th anniversary celebration, a commemorative book that chronicles the bank's nine decades of banking success will be released early in 2011.
Incorporated in 1920, China Bank has been consistently providing quality banking products and services.
"Ever mindful of the changing landscape, China Bank continuously developed new product offerings to meet its clients' financial needs and exceed their rising expectation. Now, 90 years and over 250 branches and more than 400 ATMs later, China Bank remains deeply committed to making its clients succeed in their business," Ducanes said.
