ANG New People's Army (NPA) giingon nga padayon sa ilang opensiba pinaagi sa pagpamatay sa mga walay armas nga sakop sa Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (Cafgu) aron walay makasanta sa ilang kalihukan sama sa pagpangilkil sa mga plantasyon sa saging sa kabukiran didto sa Compostela Valley Province.

Si Captain Emmanuel Garcia, Public Information Officer sa 10th Infantry Division, nagbutyag nga ang labing uwahing insidente nahitabo didto sa Sitio Katarangan, Barangay Tagugpo, Pantukan sa 3:00 sa hapon niadtong Lunes.

Matud ni Garcia nga ang biktima nga mao si Jeotam Case kinsa gipusil patay sa tulo ka mga rebelde samtang dunay gitrabaho sa usa ka banana plantation nga gipanag-iyahan sa Dolefil.

Si Lieutenant Colonel Norman Zuniega, commander sa 72nd Infantry Battalion, nagsulti nga ang biktima posibleng gipatay sa mga rebelde aron dili masanta ang ilang pagpangilkil.

"Case is one of the most active Cafgu who are fighting the extortion activity of the terrorists victimizing both huge and small scale banana growers in Pantukan town," ni Zuniega.

"It is with deep sympathy that we condole with the family of Case. The repeated murder of unarmed soldiers, Cafgu and civilians by the NPA only solidify the truth that they have degenerated into a group of bandits whose sole intent in killing people is to protect their extortion activities," ni Major General Carlos Holganza, commanding officer sa 10th Infantry Division sa Philippine Army.

Niadtong miaging semana, mga sakop sa NPA mipatay sab sa duha ka mga sibilyan, usa ka sundalo ug usa ka tribal didto sa Compostela Valley.

Si Sergeant Marlon Salva gipatay sa unom ka mga armado didto Camantangan, Montevista samtang si Datu David Cabatlao gipatay duol sa iyang balay didto Pasian sa Monkayo.

Niadtong Marso, gipatay sab si Corporal Benjie Hupayan dinhi sa siyudad sa Davao samtang si Felix Valiente, trabahante sa minahan, gipatay didto sa Calabcab, Maco, Compostela Valley. (AD)
