RIDING high on the unprecedented growth of their performance last year, Camella Communities is setting its sight higher by planning bigger and better projects as it maps out its outlook for 2010.
Camella Communities, a subsidiary of the biggest homebuilder in the country, Vista Land & Lifescapes, will be investing more in the city's real estate sector this year, allotting almost P1 billion to finance massive developments and expansion programs in Davao Region.

"Camella will be stronger than ever this year, fast tracking and improving our existing developments, and pouring in more investments into Davao as we eye two new exciting horizontal projects here," revealed Marlon Escalicas, general manager of Camella Communities Davao.
Escalicas said the new projects are themed subdivisions that will be built complete with modern amenities and facilities, and secured 24/7 by security systems normally available only to upper-middle to high-end communities.
"They are envisioned to become subdivisions with a high-end appeal and conveniences, but with costs that come within the reach of many Dabawenyos," Escalicas said.
"The concept of a subdivision with a high-end ambiance made affordable for many will further propel Camella into a position of strength in all income segments, from low cost to high end, with its existing and future developments," he added.
Current projects will also get a boost from Camella's plans to engage in commercial developments, specifically in Toscana and its current talk-of-the-town mid-rise project, Camella Northpoint. This will give their homeowners and unit owners more privileges as residents of these master planned communities.
Camella Northpoint, already a much-anticipated condo community in the city, will further bolster its value and reputation with the planned development of commercial establishments within its vicinity.
Camella is eyeing to attract potential enterprises such as restaurants, coffee shops, spas, and other specialty shops that can add to the unique and distinct character of Camella Northpoint and turn it into an undeniable destination in the city.
The master planned Italian-themed Toscana in Upper Libby Road will have its own development boost with the launching of its multi-purpose hall, swimming pool, and basketball court targeted within the first quarter of the year. The growing number of homeowners will also get to enjoy their own shuttle service much like the Hop-on, Hop-off shuttle service for the residents of its sister subdivision, Solariega.
To top it all, Camella will continue to tow their environmental principle of creating green communities by planting several hundreds of trees this year across all their developments. Escalicas reaffirmed their commitment to be nature-friendly by maintaining a cleaner and greener environment in their projects.
Last year, Camella invested over a million pesos by planting imported Caribbean pine trees fresh from New Zealand in its condo project, Camella Northpoint, turning it into Davao’s first pine estate and giving its unit owners a fresh, pine-scented home not found anywhere within the city premises.
Camella Northpoint is a landmark development of Camella Communities, the premier masterplan developer in the city.
