THE 16th City Council approved on Tuesday its vital positions and chairmanships to the City Council committees among others.
Elected as president pro tempore is Councilor Melchor Quitain. Emmanuel Galicia is designated as floor leader while Wendel Avisado as assistant floor leader.
Galicia during plenary said the councilors made it a point that each district are represented to each committee.
Members of various committees are:
* Agriculture and Food: chair, Conrado Baluran; vice chair, Jimmy Dureza; and Marissa Abella, Louie John Bonguyan, and Jose Louie Villafuerte as members.
* Appointments & Government Re-organization: chair, Baluran; vice chair, Avisado; and Pilar Braga, Paolo Duterte, and Rachel Zozobrado as members.
* Barangay Affairs: chair, Duterte; vice chair, Dante Apostol Sr., and Abella, Edgar Ibuyan, and Villafuerte as members.
