HIGHWAY Patrol Group chief Superintendent Gregorio Pimentel said the bank representative who called Sun.Star to claim one of the cars impounded in its compound should go to court instead.
"If they will intervene, they should go to the court dahil wala na sa jurisdiction ko 'yun," Pimentel told Sun.Star Davao.

"I know it belongs to them kasi 'yun din naman ang lumabas sa investigation natin. Kung may mga documents man sila, they should submit it to the court to justify their claim," Pimentel said.
A man who introduced himself to be from Union Bank earlier said that the Fortuner with plate number YEH 301, which is now in the custody of HPG-Davao Region, should be turned over to them.
The vehicle was loaned under the name of Dr. Jayvi Baun in 2007 and was allegedly borrowed by a friend for a rent-a-car business.
Baun earlier confirmed that the vehicle was indeed carnapped in what appears to be an activity of syndicates enticing people to "buy" vehicles and then selling them even before the vehicles are fully paid without the permission of those who have bank loans for the vehicles. (RMH)
