TWICE-TO-BEAT Nilo Cutay recovered from his first game loss by beating Ronald Martin, 199-176, in the do-or-die match of the Datba Bowler of the Month step-the-ladder finals at the NCCC Mall B3 Center lanes recently.
Cutay lost the first game to Martin, 166-209, in the meet organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).

Martin, who placed fourth after the eight-game series, climbed his way to the finals by beating No. 3 Al Langkuno, 197-172, before whipping No. 2 Fr. Romy Tocop, 209-142.
Cutay received a cash prize of P5,000 and a champion's trophy while Martin, Tocop and Langkuno pocketed P3,000, P1,000 and P700, respectively.
In Tuesday's Lanemasters event, meanwhile, Paquito Santos bagged the title after hitting 836 pinfalls.
Sonny Dimaano rolled 832 pins for the runner-up honors while Paul Rabe (829), Martin (814), Danny Usman (808) and Tocop (804) wounded up in the next four spots. (MLSA)
