Coy Abulencia amassed 819 pinfalls for fourth place in the meet organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).

Businessman Sonny Dimaano and Ray Snyder won free meal tickets for hitting five consecutive strikes.

Datba, meanwhile, is all set to hold the Kadayawan Tenpin Classic next month where the champion will go home with a whopping cash prize of P50,000.

Teams from Manila, Cebu and Cavite are expected to give Davao pintopplers a run for their money.

But Datba president Virgilio "Billy" Magdale said he's confident the Davao bets still have the edge with their homecourt advantage. He also cited the past showings of the Davao City bowlers, who have been winning this event every year. (MLSA)
