Bong celebrates Araw with fellow Indio cast

"IBA ang ngiti ng mga Dabawenyos," said Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. who admitted he misses Davao City and not to mention the people and the native delicacies here. "And I look forward to being with the warm and beautiful Dabawenyos this weekend," he said.

Revilla will be visiting the city today, for the 76th celebration of the Araw ng Dabaw. He just couldn't help but feel excited that he will again be a part of the said revelry and he has this to say: "I have celebrated Araw ng Dabaw more than once at talagang napakasaya ng festival na ito. In fact, talagang sinusubukan kong makadalo rito taun-taon."

For this year, Senator Bong will be joined by his co-stars from GMA-7's most elaborate and most expensive epicserye to date "Indio" -- Jennylyn Mercado, Rhian Ramos, Ehra Madrigal, and Sam Pinto -- in celebrating the said festivity.

This morning, the cast will be participating in the festival's colorful Parada Dabawenyo, which will tour along Roxas Avenue to San Pedro Street.

After which, they will be headlining the Kapuso Mall Show at Gaisano Mall of Davao at 5 p.m.

Revilla said he really does enjoy traveling. "I love seeing new places, being with new people, and experiencing new things. Promo tours give me those opportunities kaya sobrang nage-enjoy ako talaga."

Meanwhile, the Kapuso festivities in Davao kicked-off yesterday,via the first leg of the "Kakambal ni Eliana" Promo Tour that featured Eliana herself, Kim Rodriguez, together with co-stars Kristoffer Martin, Enzo Pineda, and Chynna Ortaleza.

First stop for the cast was the back-to-back Kapuso Barangayan activities in Barangay 76-A SIR Phase I Covered Court and in Barangay San Antonio, Agdao Covered Court, followed by a Kapuso Mall Show at the NCCC Mall of Davao Activity Area. Also present yesterday were RnB Prince Jay-R, Prince of Soul Kris Lawrence, and dancer-actress Rochelle Pangilinan.

Tomorrow, Kapuso hunks Dennis Trillo and Rafael Rosell of Temptation of Wife, together with the beautiful Maxene Magalona, take centerstage for a Kapuso Mall Show at the SM City Davao Parking Lot C at 6 p.m.

Highlights of the Network's participation in the 2013 Araw ng Dabaw Festival will be featured in the two-part special of the weekly travelogue "Let's Fiesta" airing on April 14 and 21 via the Network's regional stations in Bicol, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Dagupan, Ilocos, GenSan, Bacolod, and Cagayan de Oro City.
