TV5 steps up news delivery

IN ITS commitment to provide longer airtime to its news and public affairs block, TV5 is set to broadcast more newscasts all-day starting Monday.

News5, the fastest-growing news organization in the country today, is in full-swing to activate its young and aggressive news anchors and 45-strong reportorial teams to deliver the most-compelling and up-to-date stories that matter.

Having pioneered the use of touchscreen graphics and live-pack video, News5 is set to broadcast all its newscasts in leading-edge virtual studios, another first in Philippine broadcast.

News5's flagship newscast Aksyon hits primetime at 6 p.m. nightly. Anchored by Cheryl Cosim, Erwin Tulfo and Paolo Bediones, the team goes where the action happens to deliver crucial stories you ought to know.

Early in the day, jumpstart your weekday mornings with Sapul sa Singko at 5-8 a.m. Erwin Tulfo, Shawn Yao, Lourd de Veyra and Martin Andanar will share their breakfast with a perfect brew of news, features and commentary while Chiqui Roa-Puno and Cheri Mercado are ready to perfect the blend by introducing household and parenting tips to viewers. Three hours of practical information and hard-hitting views are never complete without traffic reports, palengke updates and entertainment buzz to prep up your day.

Raffy Tulfo and Amelyn Veloso will feed the viewers of 30-minute news in Balitaang Tapat at 12 noon daily. News5 reporters deliver updates as the news develops in midday.

Meanwhile, the social media's most active news fan page in the Philippines goes on full-broadcast in Aksyon Journalismo at 10:30-11 p.m. every night.
