IN APPRECIATION to its valued clients, one of the country's money remittance companies has launched a power-packed card.
For Cebuana Lhuillier, the country's largest pawnshop and remittance chain, the improved 24K card with more advantages for its loyal patrons is just part of their "Isang Milyong Pasasalamat" campaign.

According to Warren Enteria, business quality management division manager of Cebuana Lhuilier, 24K is a breakthrough in the pawnshop and money remittance industry that rewards clients with instant benefits.
For every P20 service fee paid, the cardholder earns 1 point or P which they can spend without having to worry about card expiration.
Enteria, during the Davao launching of the 24K card on February 16, said a total of 50 transaction points entitles clients to a free card or a payment of P100 for an outright membership card.
24k cardholders can use their points for interest payment, remittance fee, e-load for Globe, Smart, Sun, and Bayantel prepaid landlines and Internet, and bills payment. The points can also be used to pay for tuition at Jose Rizal University and Mapua Institute of Technology. With Cebuana Lhuillier’s recent partnership with GMA Kapuso Foundation and the Philippine Red Cross, clients may use their points to make a donation.
The 24k card also allows patrons to convert their points to rewards coupons that can be redeemed in partner establishments including The Generics Pharmacy, Mister Donut, Banana Peel, Just Jewels, Orchard Road, Le Soleil Boracay, Phiten, Chooks to Go, and more.
"A lot of people will benefit from this new and improved Cebuana Lhuillier 24K card," singer and Cebuana Lhuillier spokesperson Sarah Geronimo was earlier quoted as saying. "I have been supported many times by Cebuana Lhuillier and I know this is just one of the many ways by which the company can offer support to its valued clients."
Cardholders can also buy products and services online using their points through BUYanihan, Megadeals, and Sulit.com.
One particular cardholder got another surprise as Cebuana Lhuillier also awarded Jocelyn Pagkatotohan for being the lucky one millionth 24K cardholder.

Cebuana Lhuillier began as a four-pawnshop outlet in Metro Manila in the mid-1980s. It now has hundreds of branches spread all over the Philippines also offering remittance services everywhere.
Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop traces its roots to Cebu. Then French Consul to the Philippines Henry Lhuillier established in 1935 his first of a chain of Agencias. He then opened several more branches in Cebu, as well as in nearby provinces of the Visayas.
In 1968, Henry Lhuillier's son Philippe Lhuillier went forth and opened the first Lhuillier pawnshop at Libertad Street in Malibay, Pasay under the trade name Agencia Cebuana.
As the years passed and with the support of hardworking personnel, several more branches were opened in Metro Manila as well as in Northern, Central and Southern Luzon. More branches later sprouted in the south -- in key provinces like Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon.
In 1987, the company adopted the trade name Cebuana Lhuillier. Since then, every Philippe Lhuillier-owned pawnshop branch that opened anywhere in the Philippines carried the name Cebuana Lhuillier. Branches as far north as Aparri and as far south as Tawi-tawi are servicing the needs of over 30,000 clients a day.
Cebuana Lhuillier is visible in almost every city, town or district in the Philippines. "Walang Kapantay Magpahalaga" is the slogan that guides Cebuana Lhuillier in its everyday dealings with customers. The company takes pride in every opportunity where it has been able to live up to this commitment.
