JAZZY James Country Hotel's name reflects its unique character. And a stay in this new budget hotel guarantees a comfortable experience.
Amid the numerous budget hotels in Davao City, Jazzy James could stand among the rest.
According to hotel consultant Abner Luzon, it is the only economy hotel that has an elevator.
"We are senior citizen friendly because of this," Luzon said.
Jazzy James Country Hotel, which derived its name from jazz singer Jessie James, combines a cowboy design with a dainty ambiance.
"It's actually an economy hotel, nothing fancy. One good thing lang ginastusan ng konti para hindi sya mag mukhang budget hotel," he said.
"We cannot brag of the things that others also have like parking, air-conditioned rooms, etc. That’s the reason why we distinguish ourselves with a theme like this."
He added that they may not have a spa, gym or pool but they will definitely give their guests a kick-ass accommodation and a very comfortable rest.
But everything is served with a bigger heart, he added, like service, security. "We have 36 security cameras are installed all over the place."
Though a budget hotel, Jazzy James provides enough space for guests to move around and sleep comfortably.
"Not small, and not that big with clean update bathrooms, flat TVs, Wi-Fi (industrial router so there is consistent signal. Practically all basic amenities are there. All rooms have phone," Luzon said.
He said they have a little bit for an economy hotel and put in something that sets them a little above the rest.
"We are actually looking at people who come to Davao with business and want to have a clean secure place at night. Nothing fancy," he said.
Jazzy James, which is owned by Sunflower Hotel and Sanny Sweets’ Jimmy Ang, has brought the new hotel’s rates reasonably down.
The P699 for a standard single room per night falls into the budget of ordinary salesman on travel.
Other room rates are: Standard Double-P999; Matrimonial Deluxe-P899; Triple-P899; and Quadruple-P1,196. There are also backpackers ‘room and those for monthly rates.
"A total of 76 people can sleep at one time spread in all the 40 rooms that have a rodeo backdrop," Luzon said.
Luzon said they did research that given the fact that real state is booming, the demand for budget hotels there.
"Davao is growing. If you're going for market that we cater to, there are more than enough people for budget hotels. It's a little bit of everything."
Though Jazzy James has not much fancy amenities, it is conveniently located near malls, spa and other places or relaxation and leisure. It has partnered with Papa Chings, a homegrown food business that has been in the industry for years.
Just along Lacson Street in Barrio Obrero, Davao City, a few meters away from McDonalds Bajada, Jazzy James Country Hotel can be reached for bookings and inquiries at telephone number (082) 305.1847.
