THE digits "60" play a pivotal role in this world-class arms manufacturer in the country.

Arms Corporation of the Philippines or Armscor is turning 60 this year since it started manufacturing firearms and ammunition under Squires Bingham back in 1952.

In a recent interview, Armscor chair Demetrio "Bolo" Tuason revealed the company's products are being sold to at least 60 countries across the globe.

As a way of giving back to its dealers and clients, Armscor celebrated the company's milestones in two grand events in Manila, the Dealer's Appreciation Day on July 19 held in its manufacturing facility in Marikina City and a three-day gun show exhibit at the SM Megamall which kicked off last July 20.

Armscor dealers from across the country toured the facilities and dined in a sumptuous lunch afterwards.

The company also introduced new products Armscor is exclusively distributing: Elvex eye protectors from USA, Ghost holsters and pouches from Italy, FAB Defense weapon accessories from Israel.

The day also featured a seminar on gun safety and other frequently-asked questions conducted by members of the Firearms and Explosive Divisions of the Philippine National Police in Camp Crame.

Meanwhile, the gun show at SM Megamall featured different booths from different Armscor dealers and offered great discounts to clients. Across the country, dealers also participated in the gun show by offering discounts and showcasing new models of firearms.

Two celebrities who are both Armscor endorsers graced the grand occasion.
Simon "JJ" Racaza and Eric Grauffel are both certified users of Armscor.
Racaza from Cebu City, who started shooting at young age of six, has established a name to be reckoned with in the Philippine shooting industry.

Grauffel, a 30-year-old native of France, has won 190 President Medals and is five times World Champion of the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC).

Known for having an unprecedented winning streak, Grauffel amassed 15 French National Championships, two U.S. Championship, five European championship titles and five World Championship Titles.

As an international competitor, Eric has represented France in the last five International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) World Shoots and returned home each time with medals.

It was indeed a fun day as Racaza and Grauffel gamely posed with their fans and signed autographs.

Armscor Davao is located 39-A Bajada Plaza Building (in front of Social Security System Bajada) along J.P. Laurel Avenue.
