Young businessman Glenn G. Yap is bringing the famous Cebu lechon to Davao and has in fact started serving the people when he opened Pollo Porco in Cabantian just recently.
Yap said he wants the Dabawenyos to savor lechon the Cebuano way of preparing and roasting and that Pollo Porco is the place to go or call.
For now, Pollo Porco only takes orders per whole lechon and not by kilo. The extra small is priced at P3,000, small P3,500, medium P4,200 and large P4,500.
Yap said the lechon can be also be stuffed with chicken just like they do it in Cebu, but depending on the order. A piece of chicken is only P150.
Pollo Porco also serves the lechon with suka tuba or sarsa depending on the desire of the customer, according to Yap.
"The Cebu lechon is a salty lechon," Yap said of their roast pig. He, however, said that if customers don't like salty ones they can always cook their lechon the way they want it to be.
Yap started his lechon business in Cebu back in 2003 and brought this to General Santos City. The young entrepreneur, who owns Chika-an Restaurant in Abreeza Mall, then decided to bring his style of pig roasting to Davao City.
Pollo Porco can take orders for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and parties.
Yap says he can also assure customers their pigs are also of good quality.
