The beginning of a new pact

"I LOVE espresso, I love latte, I love mocha Gatchpuccino. I love choco, I love caramel, I love Oreo Larcepuccino. I love, love coffee. I love, love Blugre" says the jingle of Blugre Coffee.
For quite a longer period since 1998, Blugre has been brewing a wide selection of quality coffees for Dabawenyos and has since been liked by more and more coffee lovers who get to taste the products of the coffee shop not only in Davao but also by those come from other areas across the country.
In fact, the coffee shop found new business partners from Cebu City. This new undertaking is a relentless pursuit of the firm’s more aggressive expansion plans to other key areas in the country while taking pride of the products from Davao.
Choming and Jenina Marquez, a Cebuano couple, had flown all the way from Cebu City to Davao last week to formalize the partnership between them and the executives of Blugre Coffee, which will take off with the opening of the coffee shop’s branch in Abreeza Ayala Mall this month.
“If you ask us why we chose Blugre, well the coffees and the foods can speak for themselves,” said Jenina while pointing at the wide selection of delectable pastries, creamy frappuccinos, and aromatic hot coffees.
Although the wife has no sweet tooth unlike others who easily swoon upon with pastries, she said the Banana Cream Pie got the best of her, saying it is now among the pastries in her shortlist she likes the most. The husband, on the other hand, enjoys the bite-size Cheese Rolls.
Among the pastries Blugre takes great pride of are Triple chocolate Cake, Choco Torte with cream sauce, Chocolate Decadence, Blueberry Cheesecake, Durian de Leche Cheesecake, Walnut Tart, Choco warm Cup Ala Mode, Banana Streusels, and Corn Muffin.
It depends upon the outcome of the agreement between the couple and executives of the coffee shop as to how soon Blugre will invade the market of Cebu.
It can also be recalled that no less than Manny Pacquiao has been a franchise partner of Blugre for General Santos Area with at least two stores.
Joanne Siy, vice president of Blugre for operations and franchise, said the boxing icon will most likely bring the Davao's homegrown coffee shop to Singapore.
