ASIDE from making sure to keep our body healthy, we also have to have regular medical check-ups to maintain good health.
Taking proper care of our health at the right time is sure to steer clear from a lot of health issues as we age. Early detection of illnesses can go a long way in reducing the risk of developing into severe diseases.
The medical check-up is purposely to detect early onset of diseases, or better yet, prevent them from occurring by keeping track of one's physical health.
SM Foundation, the socio-civic arm of the SM Group of Companies, has been continuously extending its kindness to the people who have less in life by bringing the healthcare services that they need closer to them.
Just recently, more than 1, 500 people, including senior citizens, benefited from the medical mission that was spearheaded by the SaveMore-Bajada Branch and SM Foundation.
Several individuals availed of the free medical services, from treatment, blood pressure check-up, blood typing, blood sugar testing and monitoring, height and weight check-up.
SM Foundation also distributed free medicines to the patients. Connie Angeles, executive director of SM Foundation for Health and Medical Programs, said medical missions is their simple way of giving back to the communities, whom they have valued the most.
"Kahit papano nakatutulong tayo," she said. True, indeed, that health is wealth. Keeping physical, mental, spiritual and psychological health is no less than a prime importance in life.
