What song is it?-A A +A
Tuesday, August 20, 2013
WHILE walking down the street you suddenly hear the radio station playing your favorite song, but you simply don't know its title. You stop, and then listen to it closely hoping to figure it out somewhere in the lyrics, but it turns out to be a failure.
The next day or so, someone plays it on the jeep while on your way home.
This time you just can't simply pass up any chance to discern its title. Again, you try to remember few lines and have them saved in the outbox of your phone. You Google it at home, and then you come across with multiple entries.
Sometimes, the easiest way to do it is by asking friends, but the problem is that they are not always around you when the song is played for the time being.
Gone are the days when you still have to do this over and over again each time you hear a familiar tune on the street, jeepney, taxi or at home.
Here's this latest app on smartphones, which lets you search that easy the song title in few seconds without you trying so hard to conceive the almost inconceivable lyrics of the new songs of your favorite singers.
Shazam makes life easier. If you have smartphones, just look for it on Google Play Store or Apple's app store, and then install it. Not a moment too soon, you'll have an app that can make you identify song titles far easier than memorizing few lines. It only takes less of an effort, doesn't it?
This app can recognize any songs. It works by simply tapping the Shazam button, and then draws the smartphone closer to where the song is playing from. In few seconds, there appears the song title. How the app does it, only the developers know.
All songs recognized are then saved in the "My Tags" tab on the upper side of app's interface. Tap on any song and it will redirect you to another page where you can play it on Youtube.
Shazam also gets you updated with what's latest in the music chart, as it has the top 10 of the latest hits. As of this posting, it's "Wake me up" by Avicii topping the list, according to Shazam.
Shazam works either with a mobile internet or a wifi connection.
