FROM a motorcade to a bazaar to a live band, the anniversary celebration last September 28 of Camella Davao for its 18 successful years in Davao Region was as eventful as it was exciting for the Camella management and staff, sales network, business partners, homeowners, and homebuyers.
"We had plenty of guests in our anniversary, and on top of that, we also made a significant number of sales that day, truly making our celebration more meaningful," said Marlon B. Escalicas, Camella Davao GM and Southern Mindanao cluster head.
As a kick-off to their celebration, Camella's staff, network, and homeowners participated in an early Zumba dance exercise led by Metro Lifestyle last Saturday at Northpoint's clubhouse, Wakefield Manor, followed by a motorcade around the city.
A Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Father Resty Quintillano was attended by contractors, sales partners, guests and other well-wishers. Making the mass more special was the presence of the choir from the Harmonic Singers of San Pedro Cathedral.
One of the highlights of the day-long affair was a bazaar showcasing apparel, accessories, and food items at Wakefield Manor.
"And because the fanfare at Northpoint attracted a lot of visitors and well-wishers, our bazaar had many customers, giving our exhibitors substantial sales for the day," said Fritzie Joy Gepolio of Camella Davao's marketing unit.
Lending a fiesta feel to the anniversary celebration was an open luncheon for all guests and visitors, as well as games and contests with exciting prizes, raffle draw every 30 minutes, free face painting for all, and a remarkable magic show that was a hit especially among the children.
Three of eight participants won cash prizes and tokens in the Ka-look-alike contest, portraying Richard Gutierrez (1st), Julia Montes (2nd), and Kathryn Bernardo (3rd). Similar prizes were given to winners of the "The Voice" videoke challenge joined by 24 participants. The winners were Gary Zalde in 1st, Mara Silvosa in 2nd, and Cielito Calabria in 3rd.
Not to be outdone were the best in the dance contest featuring hiphop, jazz, breakdance, and contemporary dance, with Mixed Avenue coming in 1st, The illusion in 2nd, and the Excel Group in 3rd.
"We made sure to honor our partners and networks for their successful collaboration and teamwork with us in almost two decades of creating master-planned communities in the region," Escalicas said.
An awarding ceremony was held in the evening, giving out special awards for the Millionaire's Row Advancement to Merlita Romero as Gold Level Availer and Teresita Gonzaga as Platinum Level Availer.
Another award was the "18 Treasures" where Camella gave recognition to their first homeowners in Solariega, Toscana, and Northpoint, as well as to loyal business directors, suppliers and contractors. They also honored their most loyal and valued partners in the "18 Wishes" awards.
A sumptuous anniversary dinner was capped by a live concert by the Check It Out Band that performed until the revelry stretched late into the night.
"We are proud and grateful for our 18 years of existence and market dominance. Today was a very memorable anniversary for all of us, and we look forward to the coming years of creating more homes for everyone," Escalicas said.
