Season of giving at House of Hope-A A +A
Saturday, December 28, 2013
LAST December 21, the management and staff of Park Inn by Radisson Davao hosted a Christmas party at the House of Hope, a shelter for children with cancer.
Led by the hotel's general manager Arun Arora, the team catered food and surprised the children with gifts, games and prizes.
"It's the season for giving," Arora shared. "It reminds us that our purpose in life is to be men and women for others. Our team chose to gather here at the House of Hope to bring cheer and joy to the kids. After all, Christmas is, first and foremost, for the children."
"These children serve as inspiration to all of us. They have braved all challenges, and, through it all, their faith has never waned. They inspire us to look at the brighter side of things and to develop an attitude of gratitude. You can see it in their eyes and smiles: Hope continues to spring."
"Our team has long been active in extending aid and assistance to the children at risk. One of our goals in the Responsible Business program is to raise awareness and engage our employees and guests to socio-civic issues in the community. Volunteerism, I think, is the purest form of love, and, in a way, the very heart of hospitality. This advocacy is very much alive in our team. It is evident in successful turnout of our Christmas party at the House of Hope, which is mainly due to the collective efforts of all managers and staff," Arora explained.
