DAVAO City Water District’s elementary and high school beneficiaries in the upland communities participated in separate Basic Gender Sensitivity Trainings entitled Bata Congress and Youth Congress, respectively.
Both trainings that were held in December covered basic gender sensitivity concepts specifically on sex and gender, gender roles and issues, and mechanism of gender socialization.
The Youth Congress was participated in by 81 students from Baguio National School of Arts and Trade, Maria Cristina Belchar Agricultural HS, Emilio Estipona NHS, Gumalang NHS, Tambobong NHS, and Lower Tamugan NHS, while the Bata Congress was attended by 92 students from Malagos ES, Baguio Central ES, Wines ES, and Tambobong ES.
Conducted in partnership with the Department of Education, this DCWD project served as a learning development intervention and teambuilding of the Tulong Aral ng DCWD scholars. (PR)
