Religious groups were quick to respond to the calls for help of the two wives whose husbands have been in the hands of the rebel group for almost a month now.

The wives of First Lieutenant Vicente Cammayo and PO3 Eduardo Tumol sought refuge with and asked for the help of the religious sector in the city.
In an interview Sunday, Sr. Maria Luz Mallo, head coordinator of the Missionaries of Assumption, said they are coordinating with the local religious groups in the areas where the captives are being kept by the rebels.
"We are going to provide counseling sessions for the wives, in order for them to cope with the situation," Sr. Mallo said.
Tumol was abducted last November 5 at a checkpoint conducted by the rebel group in Barangay Baogo in Caraga, Davao Oriental, while Cammayo was taken hostage in Compostela Valley.
