On the average, condominium developments in the city are at least five storeys high. The highest among the existing developments is the DMCI-developed Magallanes Residences which has seven storeys.

"For the last two buildings here at One Oases, we are thinking of making it 10 storeys," Geraldine de Gorostiza, business development officer of Filinvest, said in a press forum.

One Oases is a six building condominium complex that is now constructing its third and fourth buildings. The first and second buildings have been sold out within a couple of months after they were offered in the market.

In a separate interview, DMCI Mindanao general manager Nora Gutierrez told Sun.Star Davao that a future development of a three-hectare property owned by the company within the Ecoland area is being mulled to be the site of the 10 to 15 storey high development.

DMCI is the pioneered condominium development in the city when it constructed the first condominium project in Davao, the Ecoland 4000 residences along Eco West Drive.
