SOME 30 media practitioners from Southern Mindanao gather Friday for the two-day human rights reporting seminar-workshop at the Eden Nature Park and Garden Resort in Toril, Davao City.
With the theme: "Sensible and Sensitive: Journalism for Human Rights," the seminar-workshop hopes to enhance the participants' awareness and understanding of the situation of the tri-people of Mindanao -- the Lumad, Moro and Christians -- to improve reportage on peace and human rights issues concerning these sectors.

The seminar-workshop likewise invited resource persons from non-government organizations and senior media practitioners to encourage interactive discussion among participants for a better understanding of these issues.
The training workshop is sponsored by the Initiatives for Peace in Mindanao and the Resource Center for People's Advocacies, in coordination with the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines-Davao City chapter, with the support of the World Association for Christian Communication. (PR)
