FROM crystals, exquisite glass fixtures, top of the line Italian furniture, tapestries, and brass, all add a touch of elegance to any home -- turning the dreary into something refined.
Entering the showroom of Lifestyle Lighting and Home Accessories at SM City Davao was like a trip to a surreal land with light cast from the hundreds of crystal chandelier casting rainbow like light throughout the place, while exquisite pieces of colorful Murano glass pieces adorn nooks and crannies.

"What we are selling our clients are products that do not only evoke elegance but are also of the best quality. Take our Murano pieces for example; we only source these directly from Murano in Italy," Irish May Salomia, general manager of Lifestyle Lighting and Home Accessories, told Sun.Star Davao.
But Lifestyle is not all about expensive things: It is about quality pieces that shows the taste of a person for luxury.
An old adage goes that even with all the money in the world, there are still some things that one cannot buy, and that includes class. There are pieces meant to be collected and there are some meant to be ignored.
At Lifestyle Lighting and Home Accessories, one can be sure that it is only pieces of class and elegance, a testament of quality that is made available.
"It was my mother who started this business 21 years ago, starting only with her Christmas bonus from work as her capital. And that was only P10,000 only," Irish said.
In the early years, Lifestyle was then named as Rebecca House of Decors with their house serving as the showroom also.
"My mom started with Celadon jars which she bought from Muslim traders and she sold it here in Davao City. Then a few years after she ventured into imported pieces which she would ask some travelers to buy for her," Irish said.
Started in the late 80's by Rebecca Hingpit Salomia, Lifestyle has now grown into the ultimate destination for lighting and home accessories that seems to evoke grace, class, and opulence.
A trip to Italy in the early 90's changed the entire picture of Lifestyle which has grown from selling Celadon jars to classical jars.
"When she went to Italy, she found a direct supplier for the store that can provide us with what most of our clients want -- custom made pieces," Irish added.
Keeping their list of clientele anonymous, Irish revealed that the biggest chandelier ordered from them was a 4 meter by 5 meter Swarovski crystal chandelier, the price of which could easily fetch a few million pesos.
"The price range of our chandeliers are from P20,000 to P1.2 million," Irish said, adding that all of their chandeliers can be custom made, depending on the specifications that the client will require, and even the crystals to be used.
As proof to the high quality that the products of Lifestyle have, the store offers a lifetime guarantee, that its pieces will last a lifetime, given the proper care and handling.
"Our clients when we first started Lifestyle are still using the chandeliers and fixtures that they bought from us. Unlike other products which come at cheaper prices, the products at Lifestyle are still the best investments," Irish said.
Aside from chandeliers, Lifestyle is also making exquisite Italian fixtures and furniture available for the Dabawenyos. Pieces from Milan and Venice in Italy can be viewed at the showrooms of Lifestyle.
Indulgence in luxury and quality could have not been any better than at Lifestyle, where the two comes hand in hand.
In Davao City, Lifestyle Lighting and Home Accessories have two showrooms; one at the 2nd floor of SM City Davao and on J.P. Laurel Avenue in Bajada. (CPM)
