KENTUCKY Fried Chicken (KFC) opens its doors to the public in time for the opening of Abreeza Mall on May 12.

The new branch, which is on the ground floor of the sprawling Abreeza Mall, is the 9th KFC branch in Mindanao and the 4th in Davao City.

One thing about KFC, businesses are bent on bucking the odds to be more conscious of the things going on around them. It all starts with the introduction of the first "bucket attitude" store in Visayas and Mindanao.

According to Sylner L. Lopez, KFC Restaurant marketing officer, the "bucket attitude" concept was first introduced at the SM Mall of Asia on May 6, 2010.

Lopez said, "Hindi lang products ang labanan, it is also about ambiance of a good looking store.

With a new hip design, KFC Abreeza boasts of value added services like a charging nook for iPod and almost all brands of cellphones. Soon it will be a wi-fi hotspot operating 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Over at the counter are dual screen POS wherein customers can view a breakdown of their orders. KFC Abreeza also injects local flavors with a mural of Davao City tourist landmarks.

With a 150-seating capacity, Lopez assures products quality, customer satisfaction, and maintained international standards the brand is known for.

Popular for its Original Recipe chicken, Extra Crispy, Twister, and Colonel's Crispy Strips chicken with homestyle sides, KFC also offers a line of salads and sandwiches, side dishes and desserts like Krushers.

With the promise to Dabawenyos, KFC is still holding tight to the assurance that it will sell great food in a fast, extremely friendly environment that appeal to a wide range of consumers.

The company was founded as Kentucky Fried Chicken by Colonel Harland Sanders in 1952, though the idea of KFC's fried chicken actually goes back to 1930. Although Sanders died in 1980, he remains an important part of the company's branding and advertisements, and "Colonel Sanders" or "The Colonel" is a metonym for the company itself.

KFC started its operation in the Philippines in 1967 and now has grown to more than 200 stores nationwide.
