Fantasy Party surprises kids

PIXIES of all sizes filled the activity center of the NCCC Mall of Davao as Jollibee celebrated their first ever Jollitown Musical play and Halloween treat to all Jollibee Kiddie Club (JKC) members of the 14 branches in Davao.
Jollibee Kids Club members joined and enjoyed Jollibee's Jollitown Fantasy Party 2011 at the NCCC Mall activity area on October 29. Around 600 kids came with their dazzling Fantasy Costumes that truly made the ambiance of the party so fantastic.

They were surprised with the first ever Mindanao Jollitown Time-Travel Adventure Musical Theater with the Jollitown friends and the new characters Rob the Robot, Ding Dang Dong, Gladiator boy, Queenie and Joey. This musical show was made remarkable by the ICEA productions headed by Atty. Melissa Suarez and directed by Cristopher Lacno, a theatre play that did not just entertain the kids but taught them a lot of moral lessons.
Aside from different pixie costume, there were pirates, zombies and other animated costumes.
"A fantasy costume party with fun and games featuring the different local talents in the Jollitown Musical Play," said Nelson Judaya, of Jollibee Davao.
Director Lacao said the production has been five years in the making and with Jollibee Food Corporation's support he was given the chance to show his artistry.
The ICEA Performing Arts provided the show with talents and the production with the different characters and exciting production props. A synergy of talent and an enthusiastic production has been brought together by Jollibee Foods Corp. and ICEA Performing Arts that all ages enjoyed.
The story encompasses what the future has to offer and what all have to learn about the past and present.
"A time travel is timely because of the new technologies that has been sprouting, the kids definitely liked it," said Sandra Maciao, mother of a two-year-old JKC member.
Rob the Robot, Ding Dang Dong -- the talking clock and the Gladiator boy together with Queenie, Joey and Jollibee times travel to different periods and taught the children the values of respect, truth and cooperation.
After the musical play, JKC members enjoyed the parlor games that Jollibee Davao organizers had prepared for them and most especially they enjoyed the food and the prizes.
Judaya said that more exciting events like the musical will be showcased in special occasions to come. To be a JKC member a registration of P50 is all that is needed in any Jollibee outlet here in Davao is required.
Named champion is Kenzo Olique Roi Bolanes who received P3,000 worth of gift certificates from Jollibee.
This event once again marks the continuous gaiety that Jollibee provide for its members, creating a very significant friendship with Jollibee and his friends, aiming to not just entertain but to share with the Kids the Jollibee way. (With Leah Me Bunani)
