IT’S small, it’s barely noticeable until the details in the woodwork on the door catches your eye, and then you will realize that there is more to this tiny shop than what you would expect from a furniture display.

Raya Arts and Furniture along Jacinto Extension (in front of Immanuel Baptist Church) opened the other week with just a tight group of friends and artists. A partnership among coffeeshop owner and contractor John Tria, sculptor and painter Kublai Millan, and sculptor Lamberto “Obet” Acyatan, Raya brings to life a fusion of Mindanao-inspired art pieces, from paintings to relief and furniture.
