The name is Raya Arts and Furnitures, the gold-trimmed green door of which will already tell you there is intricate art inside.
Taking center stage, simply because his works are home furnitures and thus occupy a large space, the functional works of Jon Tria, whose main profession may be intro construction but whose heart is in the arts.
He makes rattan and wicker furnitures that spell Mindanao. The bed, dining table and rocking chair all have “vinta”, woven into them.
On the walls and adding details to the corner are installation and visual artist Kublai Millan’s paintings. A revelation, however, are the intricate polyepoxide bas relief on canvas creations of Lamberto “Obet” Acyatan, who has obviously leveled up since corroborating with his new partners.
Drop by anytime to see how Mindanao inspiration is being brought to a new dimension, in a fun and functional way.
