SUMMER is over and it's back to school for the kids. For mothers, another hectic year has begun. One task on the mom’s list that is of importance is the preparation of meals for the kids and the rest of the family. It should be nourishing yet easy to prepare.
Trust Home Depot may just have the solution moms-on-the-go are searching for.
Learning to whip up a nutritious menu is easy as 1-2-3 with one of the most respected chefs in Davao City and the country -- Chef Booboo Maramba.
From June 25th to July 13th, Chef Maramba will be conducting free cooking lessons at the activity area of Trust Home Depot.
As the guest chef, Maramba will be sharing her culinary tips to quick and healthy meals using ingredients within easy reach.
"These are ingredients already on your cupboards and refrigerator," Maramba said. "I am a mother to two kids and a wife, first and foremost, before I wear the hat of career-oriented woman. I understand the importance of all these roles and time management is important."
"Healthy, economical, smart and quick meals are on top of my priority. You can transform your leftovers into another wonderful, tasty dish without your family noticing it. That's one of the secrets I am sharing on this series of cooking lessons," she added.
Maramba's free instructional cooking will cover Pambaon Treats - easy-to-do cookies, bars and cupcakes; Simple Home-made Gourmet and Healthy Sandwiches; Pasta Creations using ingredients that are already available in one's pantry; and a few lessons on Basic Cake Decorating.
"After working with a talented artist, painter Mary Anne Guinoo, we're looking forward to the depot's next endeavor with another artist, a culinary artist this time. Chef Booboo Maramba," said Stephanie Ong, Trust Home Depot's marketing manager.
"Our guest chef will be conducting her cooking lessons using a state of the art kitchen which Home & Design, a soon-to-open kitchen and accessories showroom at Trust Home Depot, will set up in the activity area." Ong shared.
"I would like to invite all moms and everyone who loves to cook to drop by Trust Home Depot and take part in the free cooking lessons I will be conducting. The one-hour lesson starts at 10 a.m. and will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting June 25 to July 13, 2012. I will be handing out my recipes to all attendees at the end of lessons," Maramba said.
