DAVAO City-based models walked the ramp, alongside prominent counterparts from the nation's capital, in a show that celebrates style and fashion at Abreeza of the Ayala Malls on June 9.
The fashion show, dubbed as Style Origin 2012, is first of Ayala Malls' three-month series of lifestyle events that feature the fusion of modern design, fashion, music, and style. It showcased the latest collections of Manila's and Davao's top designers, as well as fashion picks from Abreeza's luxury brands.
The highlight of the 45-minute runway show was the so-called Mensweek, showcasing collections of Manila's top designers Bang Pineda and Gian Roman and Davao's very own Ronan Opina worn by Manila and Davao's finest models.
The show also featured celebrity model Rayver Cruz and Davao's eligible bachelors, wearing the newest line of men's apparel and footwear from Nautica, Penguin, Ellese, Armenia, Giordano, Girbaud, Tretorn and Native on the runway.
But even before that, fashionistas who flocked Abreeza's Activity Center were already treated to a Hight Street Fashion that showcased the latest collections of world class and local brands such as Dorothy Perkins, What A Girl Wants, Soul, Wrangler, Folded and Hung and other brands offered by Ayala Malls.
A convergence of enticing models, some of whom were provided by Davao City-based modeling agency Metropolitan Talent Management, and Davao personalities took on the ramp as they don the colorful ensembles styled by Manila designers in a spectacular fashion show directed by Ariel Lozada.
Up and coming band Never the Strangers set the mood for the show with their smooth popular renditions.
It was indeed a show that fitted everyone as it featured designers' collections that were done in good taste. Outfits were made not to overwhelm the crowd with over the top combinations, giving the audience a new inspiration to experiment with different colors.
