IT WAS not reported to be the hottest day of the year but the afternoon sizzled when Davao Noontime Toastmasters Club and Ablaze Toastmasters Club joined forces in the installation of new set of officers and induction of new members at the Holy Child College of Davao Social Hall, Davao City the 13th of July.
With the sun shining brighter at noontime and the scorching fire burning at Ablaze, the goddess of the sun, the source of energy of District 75, District Governor Grace L. Paras, was summoned to recharge the occasion.
The presence of the Immediate Past District Governor Vic Navales also contributed to the intensity of the event.
The new set of officers for the Davao Noontime Club are Distinguished Toastmaster Adelina Royo, President; Toastmaster Sucit Trillanes-Hernandez, Vice President for Education; Toastmaster Evelyn Ecle, Vice President for Membership; Competent Communicator Roy Rabor, Vice President for Marketing; Able Toastmaster Silver Victoria D. Leuterio, Vice President for Public Relations; Toastmaster Nico dela Cruz, Secretary; Toastmaster Bobsey Lim-Gan, Treasurer; and Toastmaster Ruben Apao, Sergeant-at-Arms.
The Ablaze Toastmasters Club officers are Toastmaster Anna Teresa C. Ducosin, President; Toastmaster Janice P. Pavon, Vice President for Education; Cherie P. Barbosa, Vice President for Membership; Toastmaster Cherry Lyn M. Villagonzalo, Vice President for Public Relations;
Toastmaster Freniza B. Villados, Secretary; Toastmaster Mary Grace Billena Silagan, Treasurer; and Toastmaster Ardy S. Base, Sergeant-at-Arms.
Congratulations to Dr. Ro B. Domingo and Mrs. Luzette Buen, new members of Davao Noontime; and Ardy Base, a new member of Ablaze.
The two "hot" clubs of Division E, indeed, jumpstarts the Toastmaster year with great energy and radiance.
Davao Noontime Toastmasters Club meets every Friday, 12 noon while the Ablaze Toastmasters Club meets every Thursday, 5 p.m., both at the Holy Child College of Davao.
