UPCAT set Aug. 4-5

UP Mindanao's University Registrar, Prof. Karen Joyce G. Cayamanda, announced that the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) is set on August 4-5 at the UP Mindanao campus in Mintal, Davao City, and in other test centers nationwide.
All interested prospective graduating high school students can still apply directly to the Regional Examiners in UP Mindanao on August 3 (Friday) by bringing the following: (a) correctly and completely accomplished UPCAT Forms 1 and 2; (b) four 2" x 2" identical recent photographs taken within the last 6 months; (c) non-refundable application fee of P450.00; and (d) self-addressed stamped envelope.
UPCAT applicants with an annual gross income of P100,000 and/or are one of the top ten prospective graduates of public high schools as of the end of SY 2011-2012 are exempted from filing the application fee.
UPCAT forms can be downloaded from the U.P. Website at www.upcat.up.edu.ph. Online application is also possible for more convenient processing.
Register at http://www.upcatonline.up.edu.ph. Forms are also available at the UP Mindanao Office of the University Registrar.
For applicants with no test permits on or before August 3, please contact the Office of the University Registrar of UP Mindanao at telephone number 082-2930201 for details and instructions. The 5-hour examination covers areas in Language Proficiency, Reading Comprehension, Math and Science The morning session starts at 6:30 a.m. while the afternoon session starts at 12:30 p.m.
Applicants must be in the testing center at least 30 minutes before the examination time. (PR)
