G-STAR, a luxury street wear made by denim specialists, finally opened its first store in the Philippine at the Upper Ground Floor of Bonifacio High Street in Taguig, Metro Manila.
From its conception in 1989, G-Star has been known for its innovative and cutting edge style in the world of denim. Pushing the boundaries of the denim material, continuous experimentation and product development have led to a strong following worldwide.
The Primer Group of Companies, Asia's next retail giant, is the exclusive distributor of G-Star Raw in the Philippines.
G-Star franchise stores are flagships that present the complete men's, women's and accessory collection in an environment that conveys the philosophy, design aesthetic and raw authenticity of the G-Star brand.
Every element within the interior of the G-Star Store is designed and developed by the G-Star Interior design team using natural and raw materials. Through this distinctive design, denim is showcased in its purest form.
A favorite among international jetsetters and celebrities, G-Star Raw taps five of the country's hippest trendsetters who remain to be at the forefront of local fashion with an edge.
During its launch in the Philippines, G-Star Raw presented its five Filipino ambassadors who exemplify what the brand is all about, most especially, what puts it a notch higher compared with other denim brands out there.
Made up of a crew of some of Manila's most recognizable faces in the modeling, fashion, film, and music scene, G-Star Raw's Philippine brand ambassadors include Sanya Smith, Pauline Prieto, Sid Maderazo, Mike Concepcion, and Gian Romano, who, with their unique sense of style, have captured the eye of G-Star Raw.
SANYA SMITH
The famous daughter of Philippine rock royalty, Pepe Smith, Sanya emerged into pop culture consciousness by being a local VJ and eventually one of the country's top models. Beautiful but always with an edge, Sanya's style mirrors her rock star roots and never fails to elicit second looks through her eye-catching street-style outfits. Whether she?s strutting down the runway or showing off her DJ skills at the club, she’s definitely one celebrity that keeps the public buzzing.
PAULINE PRIETO
In spite of her young age and being relatively new in the modeling industry, Pauline catapulted into supermodel stardom with her chameleon-like ability to channel the different looks that she?s tasked to portray.
Aside from her modeling stints abroad, Pauline also represented the country in the Elite Model Look 2010, and has since moved on to become a favorite model among local designers and companies. Her youthful looks, gamine body, and statuesque stance make her the perfect model to show off the latest trends.
SID MADERAZO
Hotshot young director, Sid has already become a fixture in the commercial industry through his various projects. His creative approach to TVCs has made him a favorite among clients who are now veering away from clich‚d plotlines and directorial styles. Aside from his directorial talent, Sid is also lauded for his chic sense of style that puts an edgier spin on menswear.
MIKE CONCEPCION
Young social entrepreneur Mike may be a fixture in young Manila?s social scene, but his venture into the retail scene through the socially sound, Great Good, made him more than just another pretty face. Idealistic, smart, and proudly Filipino, Mike is a great role model for the youth as well as of course, his highly urban sense of style.
GIAN ROMANO
He first emerged into the local fashion scene as a very promising young designer, his edgy style of dressing has made him a favorite among trendsetters who want some out of the norm. Eventually, Gian became one of the country?s most sought-after stylists, dressing the who's who of Philippine fashion. He further honed his craft through a scholarship at the world-renowned Central Saint Martin?s College of Art and Design in London.
