Bankers' Night-A A +A
Wednesday, October 3, 2012
SOME 500 bankers, each coming from different banks in Davao City, gathered in the night of fellowship and camaraderie during the annual Bankers' Night on Friday at the Grand Men Seng Hotel.
Just for a night, men and women in the banking industry are not in competition with one another, brushing off the idea of rivalry. All of them rather enjoyed the night, which seemed to be an opportunity to meet-and-greet others from rival banks.
Davao City Bankers Association Inc. president Lauro Ignacio, a branch manager of Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), was elated to see his colleagues in the industry, all in the crowd socializing with stunning men and women in smart attires and in cocktail dresses, respectively.
"What makes tonight's event different from the previous years is that it was held inside the hotel," he said.
The Bankers' Night culminated the year-long activity of the DCBAI. Early this year, the association staged a marathon, and the revenue generated was turned to fund the event on Friday.
The purpose of holding such an event is to build up rapport among the local banking industry players.
The crowd broke out into loud cheers, as different dance groups went out to the open with their groovy and defined moves meant to entertain everyone in the crowd. What made all screams louder were the unique costumes worn by each of the group.
Aside from the dance entertainment, all in the crowd were left stunned when contestants of the Miss and Mister DCBAI came out to the stage.
