TODAY in Isyu Mindanao, Joe Legaspina narrates the story of Baby Keith, who has been suffering from severe cleft palate – a birth condition caused by the baby’s mouth parts not fusing or joining up during early fetal development.
Despite her child's congenital defect, Baby Keith's mother believes that there is still hope for her son. Currently, she's asking for help and assistance from generous people, and is looking forward to her son's possible surgery.
In General Santos City, Jennifer Solis tackles the underground world of a syndicate which the police call the "Acetyline Gang."
After almost a year of hiatus, the suspected gang strikes back and this time has successfully ransacked and robbed a pawnshop.
Also featured in this week's episode is John Paul Seniel story on the children of San Fernando, Bukidnon who have been working as tabladors – an activity which involves the selling of pieces of lumber by personally carrying it down from the mountain to the market.
The children have no choice but to engage themselves in such activity so they can have food on their table and allowance for their schooling.
