Loft Salon opens

GOING to salon to keep her chic lifestyle up was used to be her fad before. But this interest had waned along the way that she opened her own upscale salon in the city on Saturday.

"I like going to salon. It's something that fits my lifestyle," said Nika Bautista, a Dabawenyo businesswoman, who embodies the passion of setting a new trend in giving outstanding professional care to clients.

She was no less than elated to witness the opening of her latest venture and very first Loft Salon & Nail Lounge at the second floor of the newly-opened strip mall of the Matina Town Square (MTS) in Davao City.

She said embarking on a salon business was never really planned, but the "love of going to salon" was all she had in mind right after venturing on a stylish scented candles business.

Loft took about three months in the making.

She boasted that Loft can join in the circle of few upscale salons here that offer clients quality from-head-to-toe services, which both men and women of Davao deserve to look fab as well.

"Ladies of Davao really give time for their hair. It's very much important for them," she said.

Her salon, she said, is equipped with brand new and top-of-the-line machines - Digifirm and Hair Ultima - that were said to be manufactured by a world leader in hair care, Schwarzkopf, a firm based in Germany.
"The salon itself is high-end with the latest machines," she spoke of Loft's competitive edge over other salons frequented in the city.

Most of the hair treatment products, including nail polish, Loft uses are Schwarskopf brands and imported directly from abroad, according to Bautista. With this, she assures prospect clients that they get what they pay for.

"We are very honest with our customers. We mix it (products) in front of the clients to show what products we use," she said.

One most unique feature of the salon is the nail lounge, another first among the salons in Davao, where clients can enjoy the services such as manicure and pedicure in a cozy and ambient area.

Bautista assured that Loft has experienced staff, who are professionals themselves in the hair and nail service. In fact, she has two hair stylists who have studied in Malaysia, making sure that skills are updated on what really is fashionable in the current trend on hairstyle.

"Last week, a Schwarzkopf team came here to give us a refresher on hair coloring treatment," she said.

Before the salon was open for business, its personnel are well equipped with know-how and skills honed to make sure that quality service is delivered right to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Despite being upscale, Bautista said the services they offer can be availed at reasonable prices, even for as low as P100, with the same quality as other high-end salons.

"The prices are lower compared to other salons here," she said.
Among the services Loft offers are hair coloring, rebonding, hair treatment, cut & style, hair & make-up, hands & feet (manicure/pedicure), foot spa, threading, and wax.
