Sunday, March 10, 2013
AS A way of gearing up for the summer fun, lifeguards of the Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort had undergone lifeguarding training to be more capable at saving lives at sea.
No less than the Philippine National Red Cross conducted the training, led by water safety instructors Erwin John P. Roraroso, Jesus Carlo C. Madrid, Justin A. Cinco and Jeno S. Parreno.
This year's training was even more rigorous and intensified as the instructors imparted what they themselves learned from the Australian National Lifeguard Association, a globally recognized body on safety of life at sea training.
Prior to the lifeguarding course proper, participants underwent two-day Basic Life Saving and a day of First Aid Course trainings to enhance even more their skills to carry out their jobs better in securing the lives of the resort guests.
After the end of training on March 1, the participants can now heave a sigh of relief as they become more fitting to go back to their respective posts at the resort. The training not only provided them with renewed certificates but also strength and confidence in doing their jobs well - that is to secure the safety of the swimming guests of the Paradise Island.
