New looks at Dorothy Perkins-A A +A
Friday, August 16, 2013
THIS autumn/winter, Dorothy Perkins showcases three key looks: modern and clean cut daywear, opulent embellished casual wear and statement evening wear.
Daywear is kept simple with clean lines and classic shapes. A-line and pencil skirts teamed with boxy jackets and bombers are key and tailored pieces are paired with crisp shirts for a smart look. Window-pane check and geometric prints are worn together for a sleek take on the head-to-toe print trend, while monochrome combines with hues of cobalt blue, burgundy and brilliant white to create a simple color palette.
Oversized totes and structured bowler bags finish the look.
For casual wear cozy knits are mixed with winter whites. Simple knits in neutral tones are given an update with embellishment and military-style motifs while silhouettes are kept lady-like with full a-line skirts.
Occasion wear embraces all things textured with sequins, lace, jacquard and metallic.
Animal print and monochrome combine to create the palette for this collection. The quilted PU bomber makes for the ultimate transitional wardrobe staple while the prom dress gets an update in gold jacquard for a glamorous evening look with a twist. (PR)
