Aboitiz turns over 8 classrooms in ComVal-A A +A

A TOTAL of eight classrooms were turned over by the Aboitiz Group of Companies in various areas in Compostela Valley last Thursday.
Aurora Elementary School (AES), Nabunturan Central School (NCS), and Pasi-an Elementary School (PES) were the beneficiaries of the company and their partners.
Therma Marine Inc., City Savings Bank and the Aboitz Foundation Inc., funded P8 million for the construction of the classrooms.
The classrooms that were constructed for NCS and PES was a partnership with Aklat, Gabay, Aruga tungo sa Pag-angat at Pag-asa (Agapp) Foundation's Silid Aralan Program
A one floor, four classroom building was turned over to AES while NES and PES were granted two classrooms each.
"Pablo shattered a lot of dreams but today I hope we start buildings some of those dreams in the minds of our school children," said during the turn over ceremony at AES.
"Nag-ingon mi nga 'daghan na muadto sa housing basi gamay lang muadto sa skwela.' So atong sugdan ang mga skwela." said Aboitiz Foundation Inc., COO Sonny Carpio.
For his part, Gov. Arturo Uy urged parents and students to also do their part in taking care of the building.
"Una ampingan nato ang maong building, ikaduha kahinganlan mag eskwela atong mga bata, Ikatulo atong mga parents see to it na naa pud ta responsibilidad sa atong anak. Kini tanan (donated buildings), dili mahimo ug successful kung eskewlahan lang, kinahanglan buhaton pud akong gi-ingon bag-o lang," he said.
"Ma-cater jud niya ang mga bata nga dugay na nagklase sa mga daan nga classroom nga na-apektohan sa bagyo. Mudaghan pud ang mga estyudante nga muskwela," said Dr. Ivy Yee-Grajo, AES principal.
Compostela Central School's one floor, three classroom building was also turned over on Friday.
