6D movie theatre in city opens-A A +A

A 6D movie theatre? I haven't heard of that or known one myself until one day, I happened to walk past a newly-opened shop at the 4th floor of Gaisano Mall of Davao.
True, it's another something new about the newly-renovated mall other than the restaurants and apparel shop openings at Gmall. But, the fact that the 6D movie has never been offered in the city until recently was what surprised me most.
Excited, I made my way to SkyFun 6D and asked the crews just few questions about it and learned that it's the first-ever 6D movie theatre of its kind from Singapore that opened in the Philippines just two days before our feet brought us there.
More amazed this time, we ran down the selections of videos and picked what's the most picked by those who had the first crack on this nifty piece of technology.
I had tried the 5D before but never really impressed me. Other than the swaying seats, there's nothing more to it that can keep people coming back to.
SkyFun sports six-dimensional effects, which means there's more to it other than swaying of the seats. In the video, we picked -- a jungle -- there were rains and winds. These elements made us feel that we were among the characters, immersed into the adventure-packed scenes. I could even feel the grasses with our feet as the characters walk through it with the leg ticklers beneath our seats. It makes you use all your senses the moment you buckle down and put on the glasses.
The theatre has a spacious 100-square meter area, setting you to a big adventure waiting. All the movies are combined with visual effects that a 3D film has with variety of sensory effects, which are built into the seats and theater environment.
The theater experience virtually brings on-screen images to life with added effects such as mist, neck air blasts, leg ticklers, lighting, seat vibrations and water.
