IF you are looking for a place to simply chill the night away with your friends, then you should try Primo Cafe and Grille.
With more than 80 dishes available, your “barakada” will surely enjoy the gastronomic feast. One of its must-try is Angus Beef Belly (P260), a Primo original, and one of their best selling dishes they are best known for.
Restaurant Operations Director Alex S. Tiaoqui said the beef belly is slow-roasted then grilled. For pork lovers, they have their Porkchop (P190) which is brined in Cerveza Negra and grilled with garlic and herb rub.
If you are a group of friends who just want to do some catching up together, they have their Nachos (P245) which has a chili con carne, salsa, and nacho cheese dip paired with Sour Cream and Jalapeño dip. Alex said diners can combine the dips to get a different palatable experience.
Some of their appetizers are baboy at tokwa, sinuglaw, and kinilaw. They also have soups, salads, pastas, fish, and pizzas.
If you want your foreign friend to get a taste of delectable Filipino food, they also have Classic Filipino Favorites in their menu. Some of them are caldereta, lengua, bangus ala pobre, crispy pata, and inihaw na baboy which are family style, home cooked dishes.
For steak lovers they have ranch steak, filet mignon, ribeye, and salisbury steak, to name a few. Those looking for a light meal, they also have sandwiches wherein the diner can have it customized.
Those who want a complete meal can also choose from their Primo Plate Specials which are served between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are served with soup and ice tea. Bistek Tagalog, Chukadon, and Bangus ala Pobre are just some of the dishes they can find. Are you on a budget? You can avail of their P99 meals which are served with ice tea.
After a good meal, you and your friends can indulge with their indulgent desserts which can be sinful but who cares? They're desserts are yummy. Dark Choco Fudge Brownie, Affocato, and Buttermilk Pancakes are just some of the desserts that are tempting you to order for more.
A steak is not complete without beer. Your friends can get a bucket of beer for only P199. They also have mocktails, cocktails, whiskey, vodka, tequila, brandy or cognac, and rum to name a few.
If you are having friends over in Davao, you can avail of their Dine and Unwind @ Primo promo. This promo, upon presenting you or your friend's boarding pass, can let you avail of a 10 percent discount. Promo is until December 30.
If you just want to party it out with your friends and family, you can also avail of their group packages. You can choose from four packages: Package A P340/person, Package B P380/person, Package C P440/person, and the Filipino Menu at P415/person. You can also add the open bar package which includes unlimited beers, cocktails, and softdrinks for P250/person.
In the future, Tiaoqui said they are eyeing to expand their menu to give their diners more choices and make their dining experience more enjoyable.
"We are planning to make our own desserts which are small plated desserts. These desserts are small enough to be placed in a plate and you can have two to three kinds in one plate for one price instead of one whole cake," he said.
They are also planning to make their steaks more affordable for the Dabawenyos.
"We will also be focusing on the grill and barbecue items. As early as January next year, Dabawenyos can expect cheaper steaks," Tiaoqui said.
He said a full steak (300 grams) dinner is priced around P1000 but here at Primo they will be pricing it to no more than P750.
Grab your friends a long and enjoy the night life in Davao here at Primo Cafe and Grille.
