Tujan: ‘Madyik Ta’

THE Junior Chamber International (JCI) Durian City, Inc. in partnership with Bonjee Entertainment Services in coordination with JCI Davao Region Chapters, Microtel by Wyndham Davao and Office of Councilors Edgar Ibuyan Sr. and Alryan Alejandre, Davao City Sports Consumer’s Cooperative and Davao Magician's Cooperative presented "Madyik Ta!", a benefit magic show for typhoon Yolanda Survivors last December 4 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Atrium of NCCC Mall of Davao.

Magicians from Davao Region performed various forms of "Magic".
The lists of magicians were Cyrus Cabrela, Franklin Anota, Jonnel Cagatan, Joey Celis, Michael Van Cogollodo, Jecris Gica, Zaldy Molos, Gregorio Morales, Noel Ramos, Richard Tajale, Ronald Valenzona and Rolando Lapuz, Jr.

Other performers were: Bonjee's acrobats, cosplayers from Brgy. Tibay & AMK (Ani-Ma Kyoukai), Pilipinas Got Talent's Semi-finalist Rolando Permangil and hosted by ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Mas Winner Ka Game host Rovic Cuasito.

The project was initiated and presented by JCI Durian City, Inc. Project chair was JCI Mem. Abegail "Skye" Bangoy Dionela, co-chaired by JCI member Karen Bartolo, with the support of regional vice president JCI member Heidi Villanueva, outgoing president JCI member Ronila Hutalle, past president Don Lanzar and incoming president Ryam Yap. Venue committee chair was JCI member Ronelyn Llanos and Thanksgiving chai was JCI member PJ Subido.

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is the leading global network of young active citizens, ages 18 to 40.

Its mission is to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. There are 200,000 members worldwide, and 6,000 of them are in the Philippines.

JCI has eight chapters here in Davao City namely JCI Davao, Duwaling, Davaoena Daba-daba, Greater Davao, Central Davao Inc., Senoritas, Igacos, Kadayawan & JCI Durian City, Inc.

During the show, opening remarks was delivered by Councilor Alejandre. who encouraged youngsters to donate and empower guest by encouraging the attendees to extend a helping hand to the less fortunate including the victims of Yolanda. This once-in –a –lifetime ensemble of magicians and performers as the brainchild of Davao’s leading entertainment company Bonjee Entertainment Services'.

All the performers and guest were encouraged to bring any form of donation for the Yolanda victims. The said event, also invited schools, barangays, other organizations and friends to watch the show for free. As all the donations and proceeds of the show was given to the typhoon Yolanda survivors.
