Ciudades: Embracing the great outdoor

-A A +A

Friday, January 17, 2014

PERFECTION is an understatement. With the sun up radiating like a diamond, an outdoor activity is but the best way to enjoy the many wonders of life.

From the great minds of premier landowner and developer Lapanday Properties Philippines Inc., Ciudades Township Development, located in a vast 200-hectare luscious property in Buhangin, Davao City is your best escape. Here, everyday is an excuse to celebrate - socialize, eat and sweat all at once.

Taking cue from the "sweat", Ciudades together with Columbia Sportswear Company and Mountain Hardwear, held a two-day Outdoor Clinic to wrap 2013 that certainly paved the way for one to enjoy basking under the sun. It may be apt to sunbathe but with the many thrilling and uber-enjoyable activities lined up, it was more than throwing your hands up in the air!
The celebration of celebrants (media friends and VIPs) was welcomed by an enormous tent that showcased products, foods stalls and everything you can think of. More so, a number of other tents, found all around, served as classrooms for workshops for basic mountaineering, boot camp, and survival 101 that became an instant hit.

The festivities begun with a Trail Running Clinic in the morning. To say the least, the sun made the participants embrace its magnificence with every sweat bead trailing their bodies. After which, an open forum (Q&A) followed shortly. With Celebrity Environmentalist and Born to be Wild Host, Kiko Rustia, and Aga Casidsid, blind trail runner and motivational speaker, the event proved more than educational.

The second day was as busy and challenging as the first. From an extensive Property Fair participated in by subdivisions within the area like Robinsons and Sta. Lucia, to an Inter-School Chorale participated by 6 schools from all over Davao, it was a merry-4-simultaneous-event that made everyone up on their feet.

Other outdoor activities included a Mountain Bike Skills Clinic where social media played an important part in inviting participants (amateur and professional bike enthusiasts alike) and the most tedious but most loved Outdoor Adventure Challenge.

The fun does not stop there. Mark your calendars and free January 25, 2014 from any other activities. Again, Ciudades proves to uphold of its many endless possibilities. Another round of weekend outdoor, sun and fun is scheduled to make everyone sweating one more time.

From an outdoor clinic of Survival Bootcamp, Mountain Bike skills and an Outdoor Photography, everyone will surely have a blast under the sun! What are you waiting for?

Indeed, Ciudades upholds the importance of loving the outdoors - that the idea of keeping fit means not letting anything hinder your quest for a life like no other is a truth more than a utopia!

Thus, the next time you want to form a bond with the sun and the outdoor, you know where to go. See you there!
