IT WAS a rewarding night last February 18, 2014, most especially for the people behind Stratlink Distributor Inc., who witnessed how the company withstood over the years the toughest of market competitions with its 1st-ever Trade Launch at the Marco Polo Hotel Davao.
For Stratlink president Verne Roscoe Dela Cruz and general manager Carlo Angelo Se¤ase, the ever-changing appliance industry has compelled everyone in the company to keep the gauntlets on in a bid to sustain firm footing in the market.
"It is through stronger alliance that the appliance industry will be sustained. Thus, this trade launch is our way of expressing gratitude to the trust of the suppliers and dealers for being in partnership with us," he said.
Various suppliers and dealers flocked in droves to the Grand Ballroom of Marco Polo Hotel Davao to keep themselves abreast of the latest trends in consumer electronics.
The venue was filled with guests who were clad in their best corporate attires. They were then entertained by the tribal dance performances of the Sinagtala Dabaw and the soothing voice of Davao City's indie musician Anne Mendoza.
By showcasing the Stratlink's partners such as Water Source System and Technology Corporation, American Heritage, Union, Haier, JBL by Harman, and LG, innovation will march on.
Water Source System and Technology Corporation presented their three years of providing safe and healthy water to the Dabawenyos and how their partnership with Stratlink made them more competitive in the industry while with its new exciting designs, American Heritage showed their Simply Dawn Collection.
Union highlighted their contribution in the production of audio and video equipment as they created the battery-operated AM radio decades ago and how they produced products that humans love. Haier set the perfect style as a major appliance brand in the world since 1999.
JBL by Harman awed the audience with their high quality speakers used in IMAX theaters, big concerts and well-renowned recording studios. While LG made life so good with its products always close at hand.
The trade launch did not just showcase the best products of Stratlink but it made known to the people the values that kept Stratlink competitive in their almost four years as a consumer electronics distribution company.
Dela Cruz, in his speech, recalled: "Years ago, I was just also a part of the crowd but now, I am here giving back to you, our partners. I never expected this to happen but if not for the dealers, we will never be here."
Dela Cruz said that the trade launch is aimed at bridging the dealers and suppliers and also to show to everybody that there are business prospects in Mindanao.
"We entrepreneurs should be thankful to the government for creating road projects in the Mindanao area which make our business more accessible to the people," he said.
Gracing the event, Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Director for Investment Promotion and Public Affairs Romeo Montenegro said, with all these positive developments, the business sector has helped a lot in providing jobs for the people. Mindanao is far richer than Luzon and Visayas. We are feeding the national wealth through good investments and resources that are here in Mindanao and we should be thankful for that," he said.
The night ended with the awarding of plaques and a toast to success to the respective guests who became a tool in Stratlink's accomplishments because as what Stratlink believes, "When you grow, we grow."
