DEAR Ariba Aruba,

As promised, here’s more of the bucket list for your cracked heels problem.

5. Paraffin Wax

This is really for you since your cracked heels are painful. Get some paraffin wax and mix it with coconut oil. Heat this mixture in a pan so that the wax melts properly. Now let this cool and then, apply them over your feet. Leave them overnight, wear socks and wash them off in the morning.

Some doses of analgesics like Mefenamic acid, Ibuprofen or Naproxen sodium can also help if you think the pain is too much to bear – until such time that your heels are healed.

6. Honey

Mix a cup of honey to half a pail of warm water. Soak your feet for about 15 to 20 minutes. Scrub your heels gently using pumice stone or scrubber. Rinse and let it dry. You can also apply some moisturizing lotion after rinsing for added protection from drying out, which can worsen your problem.

7. Rice Flour Paste

Grind some rice flour and take 2 to 3 tablespoons of this. Add some honey and apple cider vinegar and make a thick paste. If you think your feet is really dry, you can add a spoon of olive oil. Soak your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes and gently scrub them off using the paste you have made – to remove the dead skin from your feet.

8. Olive oil

Using cotton balls apply some olive oils to your cracked heels and massage them circularly for about 10 to 15 minutes. Wear socks over it and wash them off after about an hour. Then, get one tablespoon of olive oil, some few drops of lemon oil and put them in a small bottle. Add an equal amount of water to it and mix it well until you get a thick solution. Now, you can apply this foot cream you’ve made three to four times in a day and before retiring to bed.

9. Oatmeal

Get one tablespoon of powdered oatmeal and olive oil to make a thick paste. Apply this concoction over your feet, especially on the cracked parts. Leave this mixture for about an hour and rinse it off with cold water. Let it dry. You can do this every two days to make you get rid off all your problematic cracks.

10. Sesame oil

Apply some sesame oil on your heels and any cracked parts at bedtime. Massage them well. You can do this every night until you get smooth heels.

Always remember that these treatments wouldn’t heal your cracked heels overnight. You have to do them again and again until your cracked heels are healed. You have to have a lot of patience and willing to do some effort and spend some time. Well, I hope that helps. Good luck!
