WHOEVER said that homes can’t be fashionable, they’re definitely wrong about it! With the right concept and some sound advises from experts, our homes can absolutely be transformed into a more modern and classy abode.

As I bumped into this entrepreneur from the Caraga Region during the regularly conducted Mindanao Trade Expo (MTE) here in Davao City, I got the idea of considering decorative candles to beautify our simple home. Ms. Fe Leonor Navarro-Calo of Calo Candles said that candles certainly have that characteristic that will make the general aura of our homes vibrant and sophisticated.

FN: Is there such a thing as a fashionable home?

Yes. A fashionable home has a character statement on its own. It might be creative expression of the family, the TASTE of the family or just simply the LIFESTYLE of the family.

FN: To make one’s home fashionable, what does it mean?

A house is just a building. It only becomes a home when the family that lives there is full of respect and peace. It only then becomes fashionable when the creativity, character and soul of people living there is presented as a total package reflective of who they are in a fashionable way. Fashion is not only wearable, it is also how one presents one’s house through ART by choice of design, style, color, materials, ornaments, landscape, forms or combinations.

To make one’s home fashionable, it is totally the creative, popular and trendy style and expression of the family. It is how we choose the color of one’s wall, the choice of tiles for the floors, furniture, fixtures and arrangement, the total look package of one’s house we can now call our FASHIONABLE HOME.

FN: What could be the best accents or decors that will make one’s home fashionable?

Of course CALO CANDLES and CALO HANDICRAFTS will fashionably dress up one’s home. Palay stalks and gladula flower decorative wax balls (set of 3 (8”, 6”, 4”) and palay caramel wax wall art (2’ x 8’)

FN: What could be the reasons why your candles must be a consideration in decorating one’s home?

Candle is TIMELESS and will be part of our lives forever. Hehehe.Well, aside from the beauty that the decorative candles show, we can also smell the sweetness of the candle scent and feel the creative texture of how & what CALO CANDLES is made of.
