ABREEZA Mall has highlighted men’s fashion ideas in a 25-minute show at the Activity Center last July 19 at 6 pm.

Dubbed as the Mensweek Fashion Show, one of the mall’s signature campaigns, featured various fashion pieces from notable Filipino designers like Anthony Ramirez, AvelBacudio, Bang Pineda, Bea Samson, Chris Diaz, Dennis Lustico, Don Sevilla, Gian Romano, Herbert Custodio, IvarAseron, Jaggy Glarino, James Reyes, Jeffrey Rogador, Jerome Ang, Jerome Lorico, Joel Escober, Joey Samson, Johann Manas, Krue Bea, M. Barretto, Nixon Marquez, Noel Crisostomo, Norman Noriega, Proudrace, Regine Dulay, Renan Pacson, Rhett Eala, Roland Alzate, Sassa Jimenez, Tonichi Nocom, Ulysses King, Willar Matteo, Y. Quisumbing, and Ziggy Savella.

The show, although very short, was able to entertain the Dabawenyo fashionistas with the parade of numerous men’s fashion selection, from rugged to formal attire.

Among the outfits worn by the Davao models on the catwalk, my favorite were the coats in Aztec designs and in scarf prints. Aside from their fabrics, I also liked their cuts and the way they fit to the models. It feels like anyone could try those outfits without having any reluctance that someone might have nasty comments about his get up. It has been an observation among fashion show spectators that some of the showcased attires are “too fashionable” that they no longer look good when worn on ordinary days, or else you would end up looking so awkward if you will wear one while roaming around the mall.

The Mensweek Fashion Show, which was directed by Ariel Lozada, was part of the mall’s Style Origin annual campaign which promotes and offers various fashion tips and suggestions for those who want to know the latest trend for the season.

The Style Origin campaign in Davao is supported by Browhaus, Jollibee, Italianni’s, TGI Friday’s, Greenwich, Bigby’s, Krispy Kreme, Wonderland for Kids, Seda Abreeza Hotel, and Cebu Pacific Air.

Special thanks to Abreeza Mall for the photos.
